Unpublishing a page in Wix removes it from the live site without deleting it. The page stays in your editor, but visitors can’t see it online. This is useful when a page is outdated, under construction, or seasonal.
Step 1: Open the Wix Editor
Log in to your Wix account and open the site you want to edit. Click Edit Site to enter the Wix Editor.
Step 2: Open the Pages Panel
On the left side of the editor, click Pages & Menu (the pages icon). This opens the full list of pages on your site.
Step 3: Find the Page You Want to Unpublish
Scroll through the list and locate the page you want to remove from the live site.
Step 4: Open Page Settings
Hover over the page name, then click the three dots (⋯) next to it.From the menu, select Settings.
Step 5: Unpublish the Page
In the Page Settings panel, find the Page Status or Permissions section.Toggle the option to Unpublished (or disable “Show in Menu” and set access restrictions, depending on page type).
The page is now unpublished and no longer accessible to visitors.
Step 6: Publish Your Site
Click Publish in the top-right corner of the editor. This step is required for the unpublishing change to take effect on the live site.

What Happens After You Unpublish a Page in Wix ?
The page is not deleted and can be republished anytime
Visitors will see a 404 error if they try to access the old URL
The page won’t appear in menus or navigation
Search engines may eventually remove it from search results
Optional: Republish the Page Later
To republish, go back to Pages & Menu, open the page’s settings, switch it back to Published, and click Publish again.
This approach keeps your site clean and flexible while preserving your work behind the scenes.
